Synopsis
Perla is the mother of three young girls. She is obsessed with turning Carolina into a beauty queen to fulfill her own childhood dream. But her desire and obsession has encouraged competition among her daughters since childhood. Years later the unlimited eff orts to achieve Perla’s dream are transformed into a nightmare for both of her daughters. According to the director, the popularity of beauty contests has earned the Venezuela
the reputation as a country of beautiful women and that there are no more beautiful women in the world than here. The media ensures that this vision is rooted in the psyche of Venezuelans.
