As final as can be - unless someone finds something! Working on another project now.

The wiki page on Aegisub that I used for subtitling this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aegisub
... says it's used by profesionnal subtitlers (Crunchyroll, Viewster and Sky) + fansubbers. So no wonder it's good!

Should this thread be titled: La Traversée du phare (1999), Inseperables (2001) - as I can't see the 2nd has it's own page?

Thank goodness! Every time I read another post in this thread, I am wondering "Wait a minute - what movie are we talking about?!" ;) At least now I have warning it is a multiple-movie thread.

I didn't know whether to post it in this thread or the one for Les inséparables so I decided to do the full post here and put a link to it there.

The first film is a really wonderful love story between a pair of kids, Eric and Marie. They meet, develop a strong bond, get separated by adults, then find their way back to each other. The second film sees Eric adopted by Marie's understanding stepparents from the first film (who even allow them to sleep in the same bed together!). Unfortunately I could find subtitles only for La Traversée du phare. None seem to exist for Les inséparables, even in the native French. So I added the subs to my disc for the first film. You can certainly watch the second without them and get the gist of it, but there are undoubtedly a lot of particulars we miss. If anyone has subtitles, or more likely speaks French and is willing to create them, they'd be welcome!

Here are direct links for those who prefer that method or can't use eMule for whatever reason. All I ask is that if you're able to use eMule, please unrar to your shared folder and seed this for a while. Every source helps. You can still burn an .iso file to disc while it's being shared. It won't interfere with the recording process.

Thanks for this! Is it possible for you to split the 2 movies into 2 separate files?

Not easily, no. I'd have to repost them as two separate .vob files extracted from the disc. I put up the full DVD9 containing both films as an .iso. If you want them both you might as well download it. Or you could get Ghost's AI enhanced 720p upgrades. La Traversée du phare looks especially amazing, the best version I've seen. Those are posted as individual .mkv files if you prefer that format.

2x 2.5gb files of better quality, both now with subtitles, better than the original 7gb DVD (with interlacing) - and most people can't burn 7gb DVD's. Hell - most computers don't even have DVD drives now! I only ever burned 4.3gb DVD's myself - never tried the 2 layer stuff. Thinking if I wanted it to last a few decades then 2 layers was less likely too!

Has anyone watched Inseperables yet with my AI translated subtitles - be interested to know what people think?
