Tara is a very clever nine year old who is desperately in love with her father. But her father leaves and her mother tells her he is never coming back. Tara believes that her mother is jealous because she thinks Tara loves her father more than her and so she sets out to ensure that she can be reunited with her daddy. Inspired by the cartoons she watches on television, Tara skips school and sets a trap.
