[REL] Munted (2011) short [New Zealand]

Munted is an unusual, multi-award winning, short film about an accusation of pedophilia and its terrible consequences. Set in 1961 in a remote rural community, it tells the story of a ten-year old girl and her friendship with a brain damaged artist. Told through erosions between film and drawing the film is a lyrical and brutal account of the cost of rumour and prejudice.

This looks to be the same size as what we have here so I'd bet it's the same file. Even if not, I doubt it's better quality, but who knows until someone downloads and compares them? This is definitely one I wish I had a better quality copy.

Wow! I was, ummm.. Shocked.. ..When I came across this file of this beautiful yet melancholy short.

For me at least, this film was as visually stunning as it was heartbreaking and haunting...

Ella Edward as Katrina was amazing. I loved her voice over narrative, and her piercing eyes. There's one of those odd 'old soul' qualities to her face...

On the second link in Alarry's message, you can find Munted alone on a DVD with a nice cover, or together with plenty of other shorts (Collection 1), for exactly the same price !

( Unfortunately the DVD comes with generic 'LiFF' cover art and NOT the pictured artwork on the website... )
