i think you might find that this has the same hash as the one we already have,and it came from a newsgroup,one i posted it to.i got the original about the same time as you,but you posted the link first,so i converted mine to avi because i hate flvs,and posted it to usenet.clearly the hash stays the same eve after recode.anyone clicking this will be informed by emule that they have already downloaded this file.

I don't see how that could possible be true. The hash would change if even one byte is changed, and a recode would definitely change the file a lot more than that.

You can change the name but if you re-encode a file the ed2k hash always changes. Also I don't see the other emule file starfish is referring to?

He converted the flash file to avi and then posted to usenet and then it got downloaded from there and reposted here? Is this what is going on?
