A rare East German film that follows a group of teenagers at Summer camp. As the kids prepare for a performance of Romeo & Juliet, a boy (Harald Rathmann) and girl (Kareen Schroter), both about sixteen years of age, fall in love, find their romance mimicking the play. A bit hard to follow if you aren't familiar with the German language, but an otherwise decently done, pleasant production; recommended!

From behind the old Iron Curtain, this story of childhood friends falling in love as they rehearse to play the title roles in a production of Romeo and Juliet features the beautiful Kareen Schröter (14-15 yo, depending on filming dates). Subtitles on my bluray rip are set to display automatically but they are not hardcoded. If you want to view any part of the film without those words in the way, you can always turn them off.
