[REL] Rappelkiste (1974) [TV Series]

Post by FLL »   96 likes

When I was on break I was still browsing and came across a German children's series which ran Sundays at noon from 1974 through 1984. The 30 minute episodes typically had live action short films with 5 year olds, mixed in with strange-looking puppets, animation, etc.

I have two episodes.

Episode 088 - Pech gehabt

After I had found these two episodes, out of the blue Elmtree at alt.binaries.movies.thelostmovies posted one of them with his own DVDRip of just the live-action part (since the puppets were less interesting).

Here is the full episode (a bit lower quality), already on eMule.

There are other episodes at http://tvunderground.org.ru/index.php?s ... &sid=18088 if anyone is interested.

I have dvd8 with episodes 50 through 56. But I must have missed the two AVI files

EDIT: It seems that everything is being shared on eMule already, so I added the 8th DVD for a limited time.

Triela, if you're willing to share that much, I am interested in getting all the remaining dvd from you, and I can try to help dig around for the now missing episodes.

Hi,

I wanted to bring some informations about all of the different DVD releases of Rappelkiste, to those who are interested in the whole 160 episodes released on the TV, back in the days.

First, it seems that from 2005 to 2007, they've released a set/collection of 10 _individual_ DVDs (in their own box/case), each containing 4 episodes, which are not in the chronological order from the TV release/broadcast.

They are labelled from "Rappelkiste NO. 1" to "Rappelkiste NO. 10", and here is the complete list of the 40 episodes, which can be found on them, according to the photos from their DVD's back cover.

Rappelkiste NO. 1

- Episode 76: Bei uns im Haus kennt sich fast keiner
- Episode 88: Pech gehabt
- Episode 90: Ich bin neu hier
- Episode 96: Wir - wir - wir

Rappelkiste NO. 2

- Episode 89: Klauen geht nicht
- Episode 103: Mein Opa war im Krieg
- Episode 104: Ich mach dir Mut
- Episode 105: Stubenarrest

Rappelkiste NO. 3

- Episode 2: Vom Verbieten, Befehlen und Nachdenken
- Episode 9: Vom Schlafengehen müssen
- Episode 10: Vom Andersmachen und vom Bessermachen
- Episode 13: Von den Wörtern und von der Sprache

Rappelkiste NO. 4

- Episode 19: Von listigen Kindern
- Episode 28: Vom Angstmachen
- Episode 37: Vom Arbeiten müssen
- Episode 20: Vom Streiten und Sich vertragen

Rappelkiste NO. 5

- Episode 11: Vom Suchen und Fragen
- Episode 46: Ein Fest im Haus
- Episode 48: Wer lügt nicht?
- Episode 44: Wenn Vater schimpft

Rappelkiste NO. 6

- Episode 6: Vom Saubermachen und vom Dreckigmachen
- Episode 26: Vom Bauen und Wohnen
- Episode 38: Vom Zusammenleben
- Episode 64: Das gehört mir

Rappelkiste NO. 7

- Episode 22: Von kleinen Grossen und von grossen Kleinen
- Episode 45: Wohnst du auch in unserm Haus?
- Episode 68: Was man alles kaufen soll
- Episode 34: Von pfiffigen Mädchen

Rappelkiste NO. 8

- Episode 113: Freunde kaufen
- Episode 142: Konstantin oder "He, du, sag mal was"
- Episode 153: "Wilhelms Geheimnis" und "Apfelklau"
- Episode 58: Wenn ich Angst hab' im Krankenhaus

Rappelkiste NO. 9

- Episode 74: Jeder kann was im Kindergarten
- Episode 75: Die Eltern bauen im Kindergarten
- Episode 70: Jetzt weiss ich mehr von Vati
- Episode 71: Jetzt weiss ich mehr von Mutti

Rappelkiste NO. 10

- Episode 93: Wenn ich in die Schule komm
- Episode 94: Jetzt bin ich in der Schule
- Episode 92: Wenn drei sich streiten
- Episode 91: Ob wir Freunde werden?

They can still all be found for sale on Amazon, although this may require checking on the www.amazon.com web site version, which can ship internationaly, and also checking on the www.amazon.de web site version or other country versions too.

Then, in 2011, they've released a new compilation, being a 4 DVDs set, including the 28 first episodes of Rappelkiste, in the chronological order from the TV release/broadcast, and in 2016, they've re-released it with a slightly different DVD box cover, but with the same episodes content.

They've also released another 4 DVDs set compilation, in 2011, including the 28 next episodes of Rappelkiste (from 29 to 56), in the chronological order from the TV release/broadcast, but it doesn't seem that they've re-released it in 2016, like they've done for the 28 first episodes compilation.

Finally, in 2023, they've released yet another compilation, being a 8 DVDs set, including the 56 first episodes of Rappelkiste, in the chronological order from the TV release/broadcast.

Well, since that these 2 newer collection sets they've released, still don't include all of the 160 episodes ever released on TV, I think that we can assume that they don't intent to ever release them all on DVDs someday, for some (weird ?) reason.

The full/complete list of all the 160 episodes ever released on TV, can be found @ https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0456797/

Now, as you can see, there are 5 DVDs, from the individual DVD collection set, containing 4 episodes each, with aren't included in the newer collection sets (Rappelkiste NO. 1, NO. 2, NO. 8, NO. 9 and NO. 10) and also 2 DVDs, from the individual DVD collection set, containing only one episode each, with aren't included in the newer collection sets (Rappelkiste NO. 6 and NO. 7).

So, it means that it could be possible to preserve 22 additional episodes, in addition to the 56 episodes from the newer collection sets.

I remember in particular, the episode 96, titled "Wir - wir - wir", which is included in the "Rappelkiste NO. 1" DVD, and it would be nice to be able watching it in DVD quality: it's available on Youtube, but the quality is rather poor.

Here are some links from a reliable web site, with some informations about these different DVD releases of Rappelkiste:

https://www.ofdb.de/film/46484,Rappelkiste/
https://www.ofdb.de/fassung/46484,163321,Rappelkiste/ (Rappelkiste NO. 1)

https://www.ofdb.de/fassung/46484,399770,Rappelkiste/ (Rappelkiste NO. 9)
https://www.ofdb.de/fassung/46484,274103,Rappelkiste/ (Rappelkiste NO. 10)
https://www.ofdb.de/fassung/46484,381678,Rappelkiste/ (Rappelkiste 1-28)
https://www.ofdb.de/fassung/46484,395007,Rappelkiste/ (Rappelkiste 29-56)

Also, I've found the " Like this post to see ed2k links  [136.64 MiB] " file, on the eD2K and Kad networks, with eMule/aMule, which is in higher resolution (720x576) and in better quality (MPEG2 codec) than the dozen of XviD episode files (in 576x432 only), available from time-to-time.

What I found before was either very low quality or a censored version in Youtube. This is the now the full episode with the doctors examination 8-)

These are the 20 Rappelkiste episodes, along with 2 bonus/best-of compilation episodes, that I've managed to find on eMule, recently, which were indexed on the TV Underground website (tvu.org.ru) :

According to the most recent Wayback Machine save/capture of the TV Underground website, this is the complete list of Rappelkiste episodes which were indexed.

However, I'm wondering if more episodes were ripped by KHPP, because there are more episodes hosted on Youtube ?

There are 3 playlists with Rappelkiste episodes on Youtube:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYX6rjg ... TmjDU0sO6D : contains 10 episodes, very likely made from these XviD files, but with episodes 9 and 96 coming from another source ?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmA-T5c ... YJ4PJdTyaH : contains 27 episodes

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymAHcC7 ... uFuS3s0OdS : contains the 56 first episodes, so they are very likely ripped from the 8 DVDs set compilation from 2023 (or from the two 4 DVDs set compilations from 2011), but it's missing the episode 16 "Vom Siegen und Verlieren" because it's duplicated as episode 32 too, on the DVDs set compilations.

Actually, with this 3rd playlist, I've discovered that, if indeed, the 28 first episodes of Rappelkiste, from the 2011 compilation and the 2016 re-release, are in the chronological order from the TV release/broadcast, it's however not exactly the case for the 2011 compilation which includes the 28 next episodes of Rappelkiste (from 29 to 56).

The episode 29 is still matching the chronological order from the TV release/broadcast, but then the episodes 30 "Vom Fernsehen", 40 "Vom Dreck", 42 "Vom Fragen" and 43 "Vom Reden und Handeln" are missing from the DVDs, resulting in some episode number shifts and mismatches.

Finally, the old "Rappelkiste No. 1" DVD from 2005 has been ripped, and can be found on Youtube, despite none of its 4 episodes are among the 20 XviD episode files ripped by KHPP, unless they exist, but are missing from eMule and the TV Underground website ?

- Episode 76: ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HW0eTkmqdus ) Bei uns im Haus kennt sich fast keiner
- Episode 88: ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKMCGrtzy7s ) Pech gehabt
- Episode 90: ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2YIQ_XLsOWc ) Ich bin neu hier
- Episode 96: ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0g9H1xfY0Q and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dVR8A6sMPXQ ) Wir - wir - wir

As for the old "Rappelkiste No. 2" DVD from 2005, this time, its 4 episodes are among the 20 XviD episode files ripped by KHPP, so it has been ripped too.

Also, the old "Rappelkiste No. 10" DVD from 2007 has been ripped too, since its 4 episodes are also among the 20 XviD episode files ripped by KHPP.

However, these videos' quality on Youtube is clearly worse than these XviD episode files, so, some DVD-Remux or DVD ISOs would be welcome, at least for the old "Rappelkiste No. 1" DVD from 2005.

Note: Obviously, these files are unnecessarily large since they use the old DVD codecs. They should be de-interlaced, re-encoded, and/or upscaled. But since I have neither the skills nor the software to do the job properly, I share my DVDs unmolested (apart from removing menus etc.) to make it possible for someone else to do it.

Are these episodes 1-14, remuxed from the first and second DVDs, coming from the 4 DVDs set compilation from 2011, the 4 DVDs set compilation re-release from 2016, or the 8 DVDs set compilation from 2023 ?

I think it's important to make a clear distinction between these DVDs coming from these compilation sets, containing 7 episodes each, and the set/collection of 10 individual DVDs from 2005 to 2007, containing only 4 episodes each and not in the chronological order from the TV release: it's rather confusing.

Actually, there is a MP4 file shared on eMule for many years, being a DVDRip of the old "Rappelkiste No. 10" DVD from 2007, but unfortunately, I've never seen it complete: by doing a preview of what's available of this file (the temporary ".part" file), we can see that the first episode's title is "Wenn ich in die Schule komm" (episode 93), and the total video length is 1:53:44
