Eleven year old Lena and Wolfgang experience first love at summer camp. The adults running the place don't approve though, and try to keep them apart. This movie features a gang of cuties in the 10 to 14 range often dressed, as the OP put it, in perky attire. It's hard to find any personal information on any of them because the majority never made another movie. Lena is played by young actress
Ulrike Dräger, 10-12 yo (probably 11 just like her character).
I love these old DEFA films! They're always a treat. I only wish more of them came with subtitles. If anyone has them for this, in any language, feel free to post or PM me. I doubt they exist if they're not on the disc but you never know. Like every other official DEFA release I've seen this one has excellent picture and sound quality - and you don't really need subs to follow the story, it's simple enough. Enjoy!
