What is VHS? What is VCR?

a vcr is a huge machine that your Grand Parents played movies with. just like a dvd player

vhs is the enormous plastic casing that contained the film(tape) that went in to the vcr

they have them on display at most museums

I had one you had to wind up with a big handle.

I had to whittle new "heads" for it every week.

I never could figure out how to get it to stop flashing "XII... XII... XII..."

It was a very new technology - it was still in "Beta".

Wow. This threads been dormant a decade!! Ages ago I bought this DVD. Last month I scoured my shelves thinking what to experiment on Topaz with. Long-story-short I made a 1.5gb 1200ish x 720p version. It came out very well. If anyone's interested I can drop this somewhere.
A decade ago I ripped the italian subtitles (they were on a track in the DVD!) and google translated them to English to make an SRT file. Need to find where I've put that, probably on a copy I re-burnt a decade ago!

Found the subtitle file. Oddly the film does NOT seem to exist on the IMDb when you search for Domenica, and I couldn't find it on http://www.opensubtitles.org - which explains why I didn't upload the subtitles I converted a decade ago!
Noticing on this forum it's 2001. I clicked on a film titled Sunday and found the IMDb link here:

I guess Domenica = Sunday in italian.

Anyway, I joined a sharing site and uploaded the subtitles - both in English and Italian.

... ok I'm trying to upload the whole movie to Mega, 7zipped into 650mb chunks (for 1.75gb) - after that if people can share it on eMule too please.
Anyone know - if connecting through a VPN does eMule automatically work through that VPN or is it just connecting "openly" in default mode? I know there's a eMule setup page - but way too technical for me! I couldn't find this simple answer. These arerare films, but some authorities might be interested in us sharing films!
