CHUBBY DRUMS, original title DIK TROM, is a fun family film, based on the characters from the books by C. Joh. Kievit. Dik is a happy, honest and overweight boy whose parents one day decide to move to Thin City to open a restaurant. But it seems that a waistline-altering restaurant is the last thing Thin City wants. Dik (his name means chubby in Dutch) is also having trouble blending in and is, for the first time, aware of his own body - especially after falling in love with Lieve. Will Dik win her heart? And will Thin City realise that calories are really not so important?
