I would like help understanding what I see as mistimed subs

I am deaf so I time subs from facial movement. In the new Is Slottet the subs appear to me to be very much out of time. If you turn the sound off, so you are like me, does this happen for you?? Is it possible that my player, GOM , is the cause of the problem or that my system just can't keep up?
I don't remember at the moment whether te subs are too soon or too late (old age).
