Summary
Ten year old Cecilia comes alone to his house and stays longer than most. In her, Francisco finds a companion in his solitary existence. When Cecilia is picked up to be reunited with her father, Francisco returns to his lonely life reading long eloquent love letters to his wife into a tape recorder, letters that may never be sent. Cecilia discovers that her father is not coming for her after all, and takes off on her own into the desert of Lake Los Angeles.
