I was using Avidemux on my now-antique hand-cranked netbook, using Two-Pass encoding. It had completed the first pass in about 12 hours, and had about 2 hours left of the second pass. So I was mostly there. I think what the PROBLEM was, this is a netbook with a detachable screen, with the C: drive and software processing part in the screen half and the E: Data drive in the keyboard half, and if I accidentally wiggle it by using the computer while it is processing then the connection breaks between the processing portion of the computer and the saving portion. If I were saving to the C: drive in the same half this probably would not have been a problem, but my C: drive is so so tiny I just do not have the room.

And I did indeed ♪ wiggle it, just a little bit. ♪

I should not have been touching it!

I have ghost's file now and I have gotten over my annoyance with myself.
