Torsten Gems

Post by Mookie »   0 likes

Hi,

I am a new poster here and hope I can receive either a little help or feedback.

I am wondering if anyone else here has ordered films from Torsten Gems. The site is gems-archives.com

In February, I ordered 3 DVD's, and within 4 days, I had one of the dvd's delivered to my door, however, as for the other 2 dvd's, no such luck. I have written to them several tymes and although they were helpful, and even explained that they were in a move process, I still did not receive my dvd's.

Now, after 3 months, they just flatly refuse to answer any email or even reply to customer feedback at their site. I have chatted with one other, who placed an order in 2006, and did not even receive what he ordered.

Now I am curious if Torsten Gems, a supposedly well known german director, is a rip off. Has anyone else had a problem? Anyone still waiting on their dvd's that they ordered and paid for?

I ordered 5 films during last year but only received 2. I too have stopped receiving e-mails. I did a paypal complaint but they had emptied their account so I got nothing back. My advice is don't part with any money to that company because they will rip you off.

I thank you for your reply. I paid with western union. I was thinking, anyone with his videos should post them so we dont feel ripped off. I ordered Francesca 1-2-3, On Fire and Flower Girl Simone. I only received Francesca 1-2-3.

Thanks again....

Never dealt with them, but a look at their site shows it's changed a great deal, they are obviously making big changes (and big changes often occur because of big financial problems).

The customer service page http://www.gems-archives.com/cs.html does give a specific email address for customer service questions and wants you to make the subject "OGA"... sounds like they have a spam filter that might have been eating your emails. The same page also says hotmail, msn, and other email services have blocked them. Maybe this is all a smokescreen, but if you haven't been following their requested contact method before it's worth a try.

An eMule search shows two of their videos (Flower Girl Francesca and Foot Games) are out there. You should NOT post Torsten videos here, they have been posted before and were deleted by the moderators. A new rule was laid down as a result, https://www.first-loves.com/forums/v ... php?t=2551
My opinion is that the rule makes a lot of sense, because as long as the films at FLM have been released theatrically or otherwise rated people opposed to this site's content have no basis for complaints.

Thanks FLL, but, I have used a service provider email, used the OGA as a header, and even have logged into my member page and submitted my complaint there, no reply back. I have chatted with a few others over this past week end and am truly amazed at how many have been cheated by this company. It is my understanding he is a well known director in Germany, so, am confused as to why his company seems to be cheating so many. The odd thing is, my 1st DVD, Francesca 1-2-3 arrived within 4 days. Anyway, I guess it will be a long tyme coming before the others are sent, if ever. Thanks for the reply!

I am sure there are a lot of people here who are curious about these films, but they cannot be posted here. That said, we cannot stop them being posted on EMule.

Interestingly mention is made on the website of a new film called "The Venus Child" which is supposed to be getting a release in some European cinemas. This would make it an official release.

Look at IMDB

That’s not the only one that I class as an official release!!
