Another couple of rare gems from down under.

On Loan
Spoiler:

This is a strong and very painful story as Lindy is forced to make a difficult choice between her natural father and her adoptive parents.
Lindy (Marillac Johnston) receives a second letter from the man who says he is her father, with more information about her family. Her real name is Mai and there is a photo of Lindy as a baby with her mother. Le (Quang Chinh Dinh) tells her he is coming to Australia to meet her. Lindy’s mother Marj (Belinda Giblin) is very upset and Lindy voices her parent’s greatest fear ‘Could he take me back?’
This is a great film. The acting is good especially the two leads Lindy and her cousin.

Spoiler:

This is the story about the unlikely friendship between two girls one a sporting champion, the other a dancer and an outsider. Carol (Nicole Kidman) is a top runner with great potential and her father runs her training program day and night. Then she meets Angie (Alyssa-Jane Cook), the punk new girl, and the two become friends. They give each other lots of support and do things together that Carol had always dreamed of. Carol sneaks off to learn dancing with Angie and loves it. She begins to rebel and plans a new life for herself. But the all-important race is coming up and Carol has to make some decisions. Is she able to give this race all she’s got and will she be able to tame her wild hair?
This film is my favorite of the series so far. It has a lot to offer. Good story and great acting. It is easy to see why Nicole went on to be a mega star.
Hints of lesbianism, great 80's attire and random suggestive comments though out the film.

"Lets go to 'The Armpit', we can have one of those sausages that squirt in your eye." lol
