Is anyone else encountering this problem now?
I just noticed it in the past few days. It is not working on any languages for me.
Fixes I have tried:
A. Disabling my VPN.
1. ENABLE TRANSLATE PROMPTS
2. UPDATE GOOGLE CHROME VERSION
3. CLEAR THE SITE CACHE AND COOKIES
4. TRANSLATE WEB PAGES MANUALLY
5. DISABLE EXTENSIONS IN CHROME
6. RESET GOOGLE CHROME SETTINGS TO DEFAULT
The above methods all failed. Finally, I tried this and it worked:
7. INSTALL GOOGLE CHROME TRANSLATE EXTENSION

Naturally I am offended that a built-in Chrome feature has stopped working and that I need an extension to get it back. It was ONLY the page translation function that made me switch to Chrome in the first place! I have discovered that Edge has a built-in page translate that works well, but otherwise I despise Edge. I will have to install Firefox again and see if they have decided to incorporate a page translate also. Or maybe Opera?
