I recommend watching it, it's beautiful, the alien Stitch will make you laugh, I guarantee it.

Maya is a sweet little girl who has now become my favorite actress. I've probably said it twice, if Disney ever remade Home Alone, I think Maya would be perfect for the title role.

If disney remade Home Alone, I think they will look for a "Male" titular character

But on the other hand, a Home Alone film with a girl as the titular character does sound quite interesting

Director Chris Columbus, who made Home Alone 1 & 2 in the 90s, can say what he wants, but since the Harry Potter remake series deserves to be seen again with a lot of next-gen details, I think Home Alone also deserves a good next-gen remake.
