Help with wireless router settings

I'm new to eMule, and I think I'm almost there for set-up. Can anyone help with configuring my wireless router (D-Link WBR-2310) to change ports - I see in the posts that other new users have this speed problem. Mine says Connected, but no downloading happening. My firewall is off, and I'm running XP, so maybe it's the router? Thanks.
