Correct. That's the way it was filmed. It's how the original iTunes video looked anyway. The file I ended up posting was the smallest of my re-encodes where identical frames were impossible to tell apart visually.

I'll try and run it through Topaz at the weekend. Without the grain noise it should compress pretty losslessly to around 3gb too.
There is a Topaz setting to add back "some" grain - but that just stops it looking too smooth after it's noise reduction has done it's thing.

The computer is whirring away in Topaz. Started Friday, due to complete later today! About 1.3 seconds per frame! It's like watching the Slow-mo Guys original footage! Trying to clean 1080p footage is painful! It's far-far slower than upscaling DVD to 720/1080p where it would be 0.3 seconds per frame (roughly 8 hours per film).

Topazd at 1080->1080 using just it's noise reduction algorithum + encoded in Handbrake (at q=21.5, level 4.1) keeping framerate same as source.
Probably given the film is only 75 minutes the final encode is only 2055mb!
Remultiplexed the final video, Deadman's original audio, the English SRT file into the final MKV using 'MKV Merge GUI'.
Split into 7x300mb parts for someone to share into Emule.

I'm constantly amazed at the way Topaz removes noise from video. There's a slight loss of detail with this one, but the original video is so grainy it's distracting in some scenes and I found David32441's version easier to watch. Thanks so much for bringing this to us! :D

Does anyone still have David's de-noised version? The mega links appear to be dead. If not, I will be completely satisfied with deadman's version (thanks again deadman!)

I've "only" got the 20gb mega limit so what I upload stays for about a year until new stuff replaces old stuff- which is why I ask people share it into emule. There's hopefully somebody still hosting it? If not I can re-share given time - but it would mean deleting something else!
