[REL] Priscilla - Concert à l'Olympia (2003) [France]
I've looked through my entire library to find something to post here that hasn't already been shared. It's tough as a newbie to be able to contribute something back.
I have the concert Priscilla Betti gave at the the Olympia Theater in Paris in 2003 when she was 13 years old and will post it if there is interest. It's 79 minutes of her singing and dancing. I believe I also have the "Behind the Scenes" extra but I'll have to dig that up. This is not my rip - I downloaded it from Usenet several years ago. I don't know who the original poster was, but I thank him/her to this day. Priscilla's stage presence is phenomenal (13 years old and soloing at one of THE biggest Paris venues!) and she's only gotten better since then.
For those who aren't aware of Priscilla, she won a recording contract in 1992 as part of a show similar to Star Search but for young people. Since then, her career took off (to say the least). She's put out 5 CDs that I know of and is currently starring in a weekly prime-time show in France. Check out YouTube and DailyMotion for other videos of her.
Any interest?

Me too - I bought all five CDs. Some of the earlier stuff is sort of "juvenile" but there are some really good songs too, and her last CD was great. She's done tons of variety shows and also sung with some of the top French artists like Florent Pagny. She was even on one of those celebrity "scare" shows in a fortress on an island (darn, can't think of the name) and showed she had guts - if I remember, she had to get past some snakes to get a key and it was obvious she was really terrified, but she did it anyway.Jacen wrote:I think I've downloaded this before. She had a great picture taken of her on her 18th birthday.

Nice, Phuzzy.
I've been wary of people called Priscilla ever since I saw 'Priscilla - Queen of the Desert'
but maybe this will wean me back.

I'd never heard of that movie until I did searches in Limewire and eMule and decided I had absolutely no interest in it.
Unfortunately, Priscilla is a common name so a search gets lots of hits, most of which aren't her. There's another French singer named Priscillia who isn't her either but does have some good songs. Incidentally, Priscilla was Priscillia but changed her name when she first got into the business.
Her earlier music is typical teeny-bopper (well duh hehe) but every album has at least a few songs I really like. I guess it's far enough away from typical anglo rock to tweak my interest. She's been releasing albums about every other year, so it's about time for another one if she hasn't been too busy with her TV series.
I thought I had the "Behind the Scenes" for the Olympia concert - it (and she) was really cute - but I can't find it anywhere.
Maybe it'll turn up, but I'm not hopeful.
