Synopsis:
Synopsis doesn't really do this film justice. It's a classic Japanese 'tear-jerker', but it worked for me, due to the performance ofMasato and his wife Keiko are a happy couple, with their children Eiji and Erina. He, she and Eiji are plunged into despair, after Eiji and Erina are involved in a car accident whereby Erina dies.
Ai Yoshikawa as Erina ?Wenny? Fukazawa.Erina essentially dies BEFORE the movie even starts but she has substantial screentime for the first two-thirds of the film, with flashbacks and visions her brother has.. Like I said, this film worked for me; I was in tears off and on for almost the entire film.. This is a little happy/sad gem among the rocky films I've seen of late.
