Set during World War II, the film follows a young brother and sister as they attempt to survive the aftermath of the firebombing of Kobe City. A live version of Studio Ghibli’s anime classic “Grave of the Fireflies” that is based on Akiyuki Nosaka’s best-selling novel of the same name.
