A Summer Rain
Synopsis:
An 11-year-old immigrant girl from Israel misses her best friend. She is welcomed to America by a Vietnamese refugee her age, who shares her experience.
At the time Rich posted this, he had no idea [nor did anyone else for that matter..

] that 3 years later this short film would be the basis for the full length film 'Foreign Letters'. '
A Summer Rain' stars the same two girls that were in 'FL',
Noa Rotstein as Ellie, and
Dalena Thuy-Anh Le as Hoa [though her name changed to 'Thuy' in 'FL'...]

(I know I over-did the pix for
a short film, but I think Noa Rotstein is really cute!

I grew up in the military and we moved around every few years when my dad would get new assignments. For me this film hit home, as I was smitten with the lead girl and her plight...
On the downside, Dalena Thuy-Anh Le has
a substantially smaller part in this film..
Hardcoded English subs.

I was wondering who would figure out this was included on the Foreign Letters dvd. Since my release on that was hijacked I haven't touched the dvd.
This is
a great short, good to see it get
a proper release.

Touch it! Touch it
a lot! It's
a great little DVD.
I love Film Movement and how they have made really cool foreign and independent films much more accessible with their great quality DVD releases.
