Prequel to the Henry James classic "Turn of the Screw" about the events leading up to the deaths of Peter Quint and Ms. Jessel, and the the slow corruption of the children in their care.

I vaguely remember seeing this on TV here many years ago. Very creepy and certainly OT, even though our strict nudity laws means I know nothing of any special scenes - they would have been cut out completely prior to the telecast. :( Well worth downloading. :)

I never saw more than 2.6% on Drako's link... a number of people are stuck.

I was, though, able to find an English version on Usenet:

Yes, Iván Noel's haunting hybrid of 'The Turn of the Screw' and 'The Wicker Man'. Of course, we got it here:

(In fact we have pretty much all of his [sometimes] controversial films:

Not to hijack THIS thread, 'The Nightcomers' is an intriguing prequel film for a very popular and oft remade tale. I holds to the spirit of the original, and you come to the realization that Flora and Miles are NOT the innocent children everyone mistakes them to be... ;)

Despite being made in the '70's and capitalizing on the starpower [at the time] of Marlon Brando, it's well worth a watch if you enjoy the series. EVEN though Verna Harvey, the actress playing the character of Flora, was 19 at the time of the films release..

I guess she HAD to be, due to a couple of scenes:

But she was cute, in a pug-nose sorta way:
