I had actually never heard of the CED format until today. Interesting tidbit goku. A video disc you play with a stylus, like an old school vinyl record. I wonder how the picture quality compares with VHS and DVD?

Another one:Despite its kid-friendly nature, superior video quality when compared to standard VHS and the disc’s general robustness in comparison to tape, CED was inferior to LaserDisc and couldn’t record like VHS, and thus was doomed to be quickly dispatched by its competitors, to become a curiosity of electronic history.
