i have both versions of this movie "my father the hero". i am sure this was posted here before
i know many that have seen both are torn between their favorite. i personally like the Katherine Heigl version the best but this certainly is a great film as well.
(if the usa version is not posted i could do a rip if wanted.)

Thanks starfish! This is one of those films I can easily believe was lost in the 2006 database problems, it would have likely been on of the early ones posted when the board started in 2004.

Comparing your version (which also downloaded fast for me) and the 919MB version, they look very close to the same, both English hardsubs and 720x576, the bigger one doesn't look obviously better.

Upgrade:

1080p HDTV rip, 6.58gb. Looks pretty good. Nothing missing. Has tv channel watermark, but it isn't too bad. Has additional multi-voice Russian VO, but original French is also included!

HOWEVER, the French audio sync needs to be advanced a couple hundred milliseconds. Maybe it's something I can finally try out!

Darnit! I had downloaded that same torrent a few days ago and synced the English subtitle to the French audio waveform. I never noticed that the audio was not synced to the video. Grrrr.

And emule link will be oncoming.

While I appreciate the russian‘s passion for piracy, it is a bit ridiculous that they apparently messed up the French audio of a French tv recording. (ARTE = French broadcast)
