I have also confused someone's sex because of their haircut, maybe because they don't wear earrings, also with a topless long-haired boy (the reason is because he can be bare-chested) I remembered another movie where a group of children undress but they realize that this child is different (because of his reproductive system) they made fun of her.

I liked that scene in the lighthouse, and the kiss they shared except for the radio call that ruined the moment.

I'm sorry you thought my subtitles were so bad!
No, not a total mess. But they look like you just did a machine translation, without revising.

Of course the dead is too young.

Reminds me a bit of the girl in My Life As A Dog, although the fact she looked like a boy was part of the storyline

I'm not too sure how old Katty was in the two films, but she definitely developed a fair bit between the two films, she definitely looks cuter in Les inséparables, must be the longer hair.
I'm guessing it's what is referred to these days as "glow up"

Another beautiful scene to leave it in a FLM gallery.

Think I tidied up most, but some I missed, and my English is not perfect. That other boys themed site has since done their own translation with a native French speaker + good English speaker - so now it doesn't really mater.

I'm guessing 10ish and then 12ish in the sequel was the age for both the main actors.

Katty Loisel was 11 in the first film and 13 in the second. She did indeed develop nicely in that time, as often happens. 8-)

She also sports a more feminine style, with her clothes and her hair. As for the glow ... in my opinion young Eric should've taken full advantage of his new adoptive parents letting him and Marie share a bed. But that might've been a little too much for family friendly television - even in France.

I've actually discovered she was born in 1986 so it must have been a while between filming and it being released.
