Young Alice lives alone with her father at some point in the near future, in an isolated mansion. An impressive piece of postmodern architecture out in the middle of the woods. When we first meet her she's being fitted with a cybernetic prosthesis for her missing arm. The relationship with her dad is strained, for reasons not immediately apparent. One day Alice discovers a large featureless black cube in the woods, whose surface opens up as she reaches out to touch it and disgorges a note: They are not to be trusted, in her own handwriting.

And so begins a story of family dysfunction, teen angst, three visitors with murder on their mind, and time travel, as Alice uses the mysterious cube sent by an unknown benefactor to repeatedly meddle with the timeline in an attempt to save both her father's life and her own.

This unique little indie sci-fi flick stars the relatively unknown 15-year-old Lowena McDonell. Although produced in Spain the dialogue is in English.

I saw it too, back in 2019 when it was first released. I remember it being interesting, though a little confusing. Other than that [and a sense that it might have been a bit 'slow' in places], like ghost, nothing really stands out in my memory of the film.

Looking at the pix, the girl was cute and the tagline [REPEAT YOUR SINS] seems to spark a vague memory of repeating time loops where 2 or more of the same character appear at the same time at different points in the film. Confused yet?

I remember enjoying it enough [I might even watch it again ], but as I have indicated; in total it wasn't really all that memorable, at least not for me...

I agree, it was interesting and well written but didn't do anything unique enough to leave an indelible impression on the viewer. It's enjoyable to watch. Not the sort of thing you're going to vividly recall years from now though.

I watched it again today. The plot is so strange, and I must confess that I didn't quite understand the storyline...
Although a good movie.
