Oh another one I grabbed but forgot to say thank you for! Looks like someone is going through and finding all of deadman's releases. deadman, I am inclined to believe you have a massive physical bluray and dvd collection.

Deadman - if it's a PAL ISO how are your screengrabs larger than say 720x576? Are you just screen-grabbing from a fullscreen display, or doing your own DVD upscale?

Re: [REL] Bozhya tvar (1991)
I did a little project on this.
I ripped the DVD and took the time to do a 720p upscale. Oddly it reported the video as interlaced, but it wasn't. 25fps progressive.
ALL the levels in the DVD were shockingly bad! The blacks were a dark grey, the brightness level was totally off, about 75% what it should be. The colours were almost non-existant - I boosted them only a bit because the muted colours are part of the style - I didn't want to turn this into Munchkin Land! Anyway I fixed all of the above with ShotCut - which has some prosumer level video tools.
Subtitles - I've run this through the quick AI one (where you don't have to log into Google). They'll be pretty rough - but I want to watch the film first to see if it's any good!

Some preview images.
They don't look like a modern film - but if you saw how rubbish this DVD looked originally you'd be impressed!

If you are doing an upscale then I will wait until you are done with that and have checked the subtitles with it before I download them. Looking forward to it!

The upscales done now, the screenshots are 100% crops from the upscale + colour correction. Will set it uploading shortly.Night457 wrote: Sun Apr 23, 2023 11:22 pm If you are doing an upscale then I will wait until you are done with that and have checked the subtitles with it before I download them. Ok. 1.43gb 720p upscale and colour correction. Split into 3 files:

The film is quite good fun. The subtitles are pretty poor. They get about 30-50% of the dialogue. Enough to work out what's going on.
