Unknown Finnish movie
Re: Unknown Finnish movie
Sorry, but Den Attonde Dagen was never aired on Czech TV. And Tedeo seems to be sure that he saw it on Czech TV. He just hesitated whether it was Finnish or from some other Scandinavian country... Moreover, the girl really doesn't look like 14-16 y.o. teenager...
Re: Unknown Finnish movie
I never believe anyone when they recall a girl's supposed age from seeing her 10 minutes ago, so certainly not 10 years ago. So that part gave room for flexibility. All the time at FLM there are discussions along the lines of "I swear she looked older!"
What amazes me is the ability to determine definitively what was or was not on television. I HAVE to believe you, because you know Czech TV better than I do. I just know that there is absolutely no way I could do it for even the few major networks in my own country. Complete broadcast records from the early 2000's in their entirety??? I would not even know where to look!
It's a shame Tedeo is not here for more memory details.

Re: Unknown Finnish movie
Yes, Czech TV has a complete database of aired programs since January 2000 - even the daily schedule of each day. It could be aired in December 1999 or sooner but this is quite far away from the +- 10 years ago before 2012 when Tedeo wrote the request.
Re: Unknown Finnish movie
I figured there was a good reason for your certainty, so thank you for explaining.
It is fun to speculate about someone who is not here, such as why is Tedeo certain it was Czech TV? If that is the only TV he ever watched then it is dead certain. If he spent years going on business trips and vacations around Europe, then it really could have been anywhere. I can imagine him saying "OH wait, there is that summer I spent in Germany..."
"Girl Looks In Mirror" is such a common image. Maybe we could create a new thread and see how many movies people come up with, from any country? My memory is not good enough anymore to provide examples, so I don't dare.

Re: Unknown Finnish movie
I think we got it - the movie with the "mirror" scene should be this - https://www.first-loves.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4408. I'm not sure whether it was aired on Czech TV (they often translate the titles to Czech, and very often quite freely) but the age and the description fit well... And Denmark is "not so far" from Finland, too...
Re: Unknown Finnish movie

F rench and not
