Well since we've been getting lots of pictures from this movie I might as well put up a bluray rip for everyone. Beautiful 12 yo Angourie Rice stars in this bleak but gripping story about the end of life on Earth. An asteroid has struck our planet. So big that even the deepest underground facilities will be swept away by the shockwave - Australia happens to be last in line for annihilation, giving the people there twelve hours to do whatever they will before their inevitable doom. The self-absorbed James decides to leave his girlfriend and party those final hours away at a friend's place. On the way, he meets young Rose, who needs rescuing. Their journey through a world that's coming apart will give James one last chance to redeem himself before the end.

Just so you know, Angourie's January 1st birthdate is not a default value because we don't know her actual DOB (which is what Jan. 1 usually means). She was actually a New Year's baby. When she was very small, she thought everyone else was celebrating her birthday too!

These Final Hours is one of the more realistic portrayals of how average people would probably react to imminent extinction. Most of the plot ideas are not new, but it's well executed and of course, Angourie Rice really is something special.

For those who have had trouble with MEGA recently, I've started splitting my links into pieces of just under 1 GB - those don't seem to be subject to their annoying traffic limits (at least for now).
