Eeeeeeeeeeeee! {me squealing}

Ariana was the only thing I really liked in that damn computer dinosaur movie, so I would be happy to see her cuddling a real lioness. I will look for it!

P.S.: For those who know my movie preferences, a lioness does not count as a cute pet for me. So I am allowed to watch this one!

Cats are pets.

But they're pets like how fish are pets. Basically you buy one from Bed Bath and Beyond that matches your couch.

Dogs are pets. Ariana Richards is a painter.

I had a massive crush on Ariana Richards when I was 7. <3

I read she became an amazing painter/artist. Spielberg bought some of her early paintings according to one article I read.

And I thought we had similar tastes :)
I loved Jurassic Park. Was a great film! But I liked the special fx heavy films and like the book. Bought about 6 of Crichton's books and read them all. A few got turned into Hollywood films. Rising Sun (with Sean Connery). Disclosure. Airframe - there was talk of making that into one. Think there was a few others. He was a director to - directed Westworld, which of course has had a remake as a TV series recently.

Sorry guava98, I just do not see lions the same as domestic cats! Also I have a problem with wild animals as pets, but that's a topic addressed in the original "Born Free". I'll just have to take this version on its own terms.

David - I totally forgot that Crichton wrote JP! I never read any of his books, but I enjoy the 1970s movies like "The Andromeda Strain" and "Westworld". Ultimately I lost interest in the special-effects aspect of films almost entirely when certain filmmakers decided that FX were more important than story and character.

Set in the heart of Africa, Elsa the Lioness tranforms the lives of two American teenagers struggling to come to terms with a family move from downtown Chicago.
Jonathan Brandis (almost 20) and Lea Moreno (about 18) play the brother and sister sullen teens none too happy being taken out of the city where they have lives and plans. Elsa the lioness is one of two local golden-haired wild cats fascinated by this new boy in town. Ariana Richards (about 16) is the other.

An orphaned lion cub named Elsa is adopted by a blonde, and later trained as an adult to be rereleased into the wild. Hmm, that story sounds familiar. ( Born Free (1966)). In this case the teenagers in this story are confident they can accomplish the retraining because that woman in that movie did the same thing. Once they read her book, the fact that it took her two years to do it does not matter: they can learn from her mistakes and do it in three weeks! I have to reluctantly side with the skeptical African game warden who believes the only sensible choice is for Elsa to go to a zoo. One issue they never address: if they are successful at reintroducing Elsa into the wild, there will then be a dangerous predator running around looking for food, totally accustomed to humans and without any fear of them. Whatever. Realistic concerns aside, I enjoyed the movie quite a bit and was pleased that it was not totally Disneyfied. I also enjoyed seeing Ariana a little more grown up!

This is what I am sharing here, renamed. Unfortunately it is badly interlaced, but this torrent is the only one that even STARTED for me. There are some DVD5 torrents at btdig that are dead and Seederless so far, but I have not totally given up yet. I am hoping they will become available and prove to be better quality than the rip.

Well done night457 I couldnt find anything downloadable so cudos to you. That torrent link doesnt seem to open for me though. I wonder if anything can be done with the picture quality at all with this? Its surprising this is as obscure as it is being a sequel to a popular movie!

Is it the FLM link to btdig that won't open for you? Or the magnet link at btdig? You may have browser security settings or adblockers blocking them -- OR not having an adblock may be causing crazy popups that keep you from accomplishing anything. (I use adblockers.)

Maybe pasting the magnet link here will help? [Code] Then copy it, Add Torrent / Add URL in your torrent client. I am still sharing the file there, and 1.5 people got it from me. Did you try to get it from eMule instead? So far I have upMuled 7x the file, mostly to LowID members. Anyone who installs the basic working eMule can get it.

This is a TV Movie, and it is rare enough that those got DVD releases at all. It seems to be owned by Sony, which is a studio outlier that does not have its own streaming service. How much demand is there to license 1990s TV movies? I have noticed that there seem to be a number of 1990s movies in general Requested at FLM and hard to find. Also there are non-FLM movies from the 1990s that seem to be shabbily treated on Blu-ray. What is it about that decade? I dunno.

Picture quality might be improvable by some technically-minded person, but it would be much much better to work from the DVD5. Sony released it on DVD-R (yuck) in the U.S. and someone else released it on U.K. DVD. The PAL dvd is the less expensive of the two. Personally I prefer torrents, but I still have nothing.
