GhostFace, you figured out how to use eMule the same way I did: install it, then click on things and see what happens. Even when I know there is information available online, I prefer to actually play with the software rather than read about it. I realize I DO miss out on important information that way. When I have to, I do some reading.

Make sure you take a look at the official eMule site:

Emule is Peer-to-peer like torrents, so this will happen because the people uploading will disconnect some of the time. If there is only one source for a file, then it can take quite awhile to get that file. The uploaders often have to use their Internet for other things than eMule. Also there may be many people downloading many files from them. If you disconnect yourself for awhile, then you will go to the back of their queue and have to wait. It might help if you try to download a couple different files from DIFFERENT uploaders at the same time. That way, if one source for one file is not available, you may still be able to download another file from other sources. This keeps your eMule busy. Just do NOT overload your eMule with dozens or hundreds of files, or it will take forever to finish them!
By the way, i try to download the updated version but it is not downloading so i search and try to download other version (v0.60c). dont know if its new or old
I am still using the last "Official Version" v0.50a, which dates back to 2010! The v0.60 variants are "Community versions" created by knowledgeable users. I can not find a date for v0.60c, but it looks like v0.60d is from this year. v0.60d is here:

It is like torrenting because it is another form of Peer-to-Peer sharing. But also like torrenting you can download MORE than 1 file at a time. You just can only download one file PER SOURCE at a time. If you are downloading one file from me, you can not also be downloading other files from me. Those will just sit there and wait if I am the only source. But you can be downloading other files from other sources at the same time.

No, I don't think sharing increases the speed. It depends on your internet connection. But sharing DOES give you a warm happy feeling!
