Just a minor note regarding what you are likely to get with the posted releases. I haven't downloded them to verify it, though, but I have seen the same pattern in many other releases.

".TS." in a file name usually means "Telesync". A TS is a pirate release whereby someone goes into theatre and uses a camcorder to record the movie. It differs from a "CAM" in that it has a direct link to the audio (sometimes from a "hearing impaired" jack) rathar than capturing crowd noise at the screening where it was recorded. But the video is usually washed out and cropped.

Sometimes a telesync has a little bit better video quality than a CAM, though, because it was recorded from the projection booth where the guy recording it had a friend (or the projectionist took a payoff).

The "VHS-RIP" tag for a current movie is comical, do movies get released on VHS before DVD? No. That is probably someone's attempt at saying "TS" rather than so blatently admitting it's pirated.

Just today this movie has shown up on USENET (a.b.m.divx) as a "DVRSCR". A DVD Screener is DVDRIP from a DVD which is either prerelease or is a reviewer-only release. I downloaded it, this one in fact says "Property of xxx Do Not Duplicate" on the top the whole way. Other DVDSCRs often have black and white sections or timecodes.

The DVD release is scheduled for Dec. 29. If you want a really good copy wait until them. Or wait until today's DVDSCR release is available on eMule, it looks watchable especially since it has hardcoded English subs. Only if you are truly desperate to get this release would I advise you to get what's already out there on eMule earlier in this thread.

Yes, both links are Telesync and not the best picture quality.

Thanks for the hint to a.b.m.divx ;)

"Pan's Labyrinth" is the story of a young girl who travels with her pregnant mother to live with her mother's new husband in a rural area up North in Spain, 1944, after Franco's victory. The girl lives in an imaginary world of her own creation and faces the real world with much chagrin. Post-war Fascist repression is at its height in rural Spain and the girl must come to terms with that through a fable of her own.
