The site blocks VPNs and proxies and that is what I experienced. Their technical claim is that you have to be using an actual UK IP address in order to connect to the videos. If anyone figures out a way for outlanders to access it other than an airplane ride, please post. Or a UK FLM member could capture these and share!

I can download from there. You need a VPN and Internet Download manager. If the subtitles do not download, you can try TVDownloader or JDownloader 2. To play the video, you need to click the “I have a license” button. I press it, even though I don’t have it.

This is ridiculous. It rejected both my paid VPN and a free proxy using UK servers and gave a message that they do not allow video playback with VPNs and proxies. Just mine, apparently.

After much tinkering with HolaVPN and BBC's restrictions, Stefan Duke was able to get the first 5 episodes from Season 2 of Katie Morag. I assume episode 6 is still being worked on. There are 11 more episodes 7 more episodes from this season; perhaps they'll be available on BBC website in the future. And perhaps the first season will be available again someday. These episodes were given to me to distribute over emule. Thank you Stefan.

Subs were included in both SRT and XML format. I have not come across subs in XML format before. Episodes in 720p:


EDIT: ghost has provided 1080p web-dl files from the website. They are on emule in one of my later posts here. The emule links below are for files in 720p. The 1080p are substantially higher quality.

There are 11 more episodes from this season; perhaps they'll be available on BBC website in the future.

They have been premiering two episodes every weekend, and IMDB says Season 2 has 13 total. (Not 16.) I think each episode is available for 30 days and then it goes bye-bye. I have been anxiously checking out the site that I could not download from, hoping someone else could.

I think streaming subtitles are frequently in XML format on websites, but that many subtitle downloaders convert them automatically to VTT or SRT.

I asked to download episode 2-06 on the rutracker's forum and they downloaded it to me in 1080p! Now I'm waiting for the rest of the episodes.

For anyone curious, pixeldrain says you have to register or possibly have a pro account, but if you click to download file, it still lets you.

The pixeldrain file is an M2T file. Oddly, VLC will not play it for me, but Media Player plays it quite well. Anyone familiar with m2t files? The quality of this episode is phenomenal!

The episode is "Katie Morag and the the Big Shinty Match", which, according to imdb, is indeed episode 6! The swisstransfers link has the srt.
