Thank you, too, ghost! :biggrin

Anything from now on will just be THE WORST DAY EVER!!!! :o
I just hope they'll re-show season 1 so we can give it the 1080p treatment, too.

I will be petulant and refuse to watch any episodes AGAIN unless I get to see the real show ending first.

I think we'd be lucky for this show to even format the last episode with a proper ending in mind. But hearing that it is a two-parter always makes me excited. Just loved it when I would see that the last couple of episodes from a season were two-parters that lead directly in to the next season! There was sometimes something magical about a show that acknowledged its ending time (if it even makes it that far).

Well, I just saw indications that it was a single episode of 29 minutes instead of 14. Season 1 ended with an actual two-parter, about the wedding. The book series may have continued with many more "adventures" for all I know. The only "ending" would be when Katie grows up!
Spoiler:

Katie Goes to University
Katie Becomes a Published Author
Katie Moves Back to Struay
Katie Gets Married
Katie Starts Popping Out Babies ...

LOW QUALITY video, Final Episode

The video quality is NOT good. What I really want of course is 720p or 1080p but BBC is hoarding s2e13 and does not want to give it up. This will have to do for now so I could see the end of the story. (Which I have now.)

Source and notes:
Spoiler:

I have resisted using this but I was desperate:
https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6lg1t8

The DailyMotion video is horizontally flipped, slowed down, and has several minutes of the episode starting over at the end. The orientation and playback speed is easily fixed in VLC but I wanted something more permanent. I cut off the extra minutes and horizontally flipped it back left-to-right instead of right-to-left. It was 24fps and I figured it had NTSC-slowdown from the original 25fps, so I converted it BACK to 25fps to speed it up. Still it seems a little slower than it should be. But all I really wanted was the end of the story NOW, realizing that the perfect video would have to show up later.

Converting to 25fps is the equivalent of playing back the DailyMotion video at 1.04 speed. By my ears, 1.12 speed (or 27fps) sounds like it might be right. But being a little slowed down makes it seem more melancholy, in keeping with the story.

Wow! What a find, Night! And thank you for all the extra work put into fixing up the video. Grabbing it now.

Now that you put all that work into it, a HD version of it is bound to make an appearance. :D

Excitement! I found subtitles for s02e13!!!

https://subsaga.com/bbc/childrens/katie ... -ever.html
Katie Morag s02e13 Katie Morag and the Worst Day Ever.en.srt
|
Now we just need a good video to go with it. I do not plan to sync it to my crummy video, because I do not want to see how much it is the wrong speed when I can not change it to the correct speed anyway.

Banned! Images of breastfeeding in a children’s story book.

https://www.breastfeedingnetwork.org.uk ... tory-book/

WARNING: DO NOT VIEW if a drawing of a woman breastfeeding her baby will prompt acts of violence and sexual deviancy!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
Spoiler:

For those who dared, note that the baby is NOT actually feeding but the depraved mama is wantonly flaunting her body. This is outright pornography!!

OK, OK, OK ... I was just being ridiculous because I think the uproar and banning of the books is ridiculous. I post this because the original books are on-topic for Katie Morag and may be of interest for those who enjoyed the series. I discovered various of the picture books apparently available at archive.org, also. I did not actually read them, however.
