[REL] Lad isbjørnene danse (1990)
Re: [REL] Lad isbjørnene danse (1990)
Yep there are! Thanks!
Re: [REL] Lad isbjørnene danse (1990)
It is important to share bad news about files, so thank you. I am sorry that this has been a disappointment.
However, I can not replicate any problems with it using VLC. I do not SEE anything wrong, but I admit I do not have the most sensitive eyesight in the world for things like judder. It certainly plays through completely in VLC without fail. It is H264 8 bit video codec, so it should be compatible with the vast majority of equipment out there.
I have multiple versions of this movie saved of which this one is an upgrade, and I do not think that I watched this one all the way through. I only know for certain that I have seen the movie at least once and I liked it. Has anyone else viewed at least part of the "Lad Isbjoernene Danse (1990) WEB-DL 1080p" file and had problems? Can you describe them?
Specifications, for the interested:

It was smooth at first, but after a few minutes it started to freeze, and it didn't work to fast forward, and the picture looked like thisNight457 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 25, 2024 6:34 amIt is important to share bad news about files, so thank you. I am sorry that this has been a disappointment.

Re: [REL] Lad isbjørnene danse (1990)
I am not going to eMule two versions of the same file, that is a waste of my bandwidth. However, I have split the "Lad Isbjoernene Danse (1990) WEB-DL 1080p" 4.85Gb file into 8 ZIPs and uploaded them to MEGA:
Honestly I do NOT think at all that a different method of downloading will change the playback*. But it is your choice. If anyone wants to take the "risk" in downloading a video that may or may not work for them, the links are there. The video works for me.
EDIT: *There are dissenting views on this so I may be WRONG. Another download may fix the problem. See deadman's post below.

Re: [REL] Lad isbjørnene danse (1990)
What media player do you use? I prefer MPC-BE to VLC, just because I've used MPC for years and that's what I'm accustomed to. I watched this file straight through from beginning to end when I first downloaded it and had no issues.
It sounds like you most likely have a corrupted file. This can happen during download, or it can happen if your hard drive is old and part of the file is stored in a bad sector. Try Night's MEGA links and see if a fresh download fixes the problem - sometimes that's all it takes.
Re: [REL] Lad isbjørnene danse (1990)
I continued the discussion outside of the thread, and I confess that I was VERY skeptical at the idea that an eMule file was corrupted when it appeared to download complete with no error messages. When it crashes with the black and yellow warning bars, sure.
But if another person is insisting that this *IS* a possibility, I guess I will accept it. I certainly hope that the MEGA links fix the problem: there was nothing in our discussion that gave any indication of a reasonable alternate explanation for the playback issue.

I've had files that appeared to download on eMule fine, but were corrupt, and deleting and re-downloading fixed the problem. So evidently there are ways a file can become corrupted that the program doesn't detect in its error checking. Simply downloading a fresh copy doesn't always work of course. But when everyone else is thanking the poster and no one is complaining about a glitchy file you know the problem's probably on your end. Just like the first thing you do with a glitchy computer is restart it, the first thing I always do is try the download again.
Re: [REL] Lad isbjørnene danse (1990)
I think the FIRST thing I do is curse it.
Of course a fresh download does not work if the source file itself is corrupt, which WHOOPS does happen because frequently people are excited to share before they actually have the time to watch it.
