I'd say that there aren't any subtitles for 99% of Russian movies. :(

True ... but did anyone LOOK for subtitles?

Russian subtitles: https://www.opensubtitles.org/en/subtit ... eniyami-ru

I did not share my crappy machine-translation to English because no one asked for subtitles recently ... and they are terribly out of sync in many places, too. That's a deal-breaker for me. It would take a line-by-line watch and adjust to fix, and I would rather watch the movie without them.

I have the 15Gb rutracker file too but I certainly won't share that on eMule!

Here is a 1080p YouTube file the same length as the TC-Rip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8EEOPh8xy4

Here is a 1080p YouTube file of a different length: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1irI40e9FoM
Just a different framerate or a different edit too? I don't know, but it seems that my crappy machine-translated subtitles WERE able to be mostly synced to THIS version. I can't remember the details of my effort. I only remember the bitchy blonde, and the hippo.

Surely by now a better translation could be made from the Russian opensubtitles. And someone else may have better success syncing to other versions, since I seem to by struggling more and more with that lately. Damn that SubtitleEdit, it used to be so good!

Thanks for the summary of releases, Night, and for pointing out those subs.

I noticed you've mentioned having issues with the newest version of SubtitleEdit. I coincidentally have not upgraded yet, but was considering, due to the extras it's added to the whisper category. Has anyone else noticed any issues with the newest version?

You mean version 4.0.3, which was published in December last year?

Not on my side. Everything is working fine like before.
