I can only assume that for some reason I was unable to sync the opensubs English but WAS able to sync the opensubs German. I don't remember. Maybe it was some other reason.

Thank you ronyleonel! This YouTube version does have the smooth look of an upscale, but it is SIX MINUTES LONGER than jezevex's file. Even with PAL speedup issues it surely has more footage, right? I have not compared the two versions to see what that footage is. Here are some download links. I downloaded the 2160p VP9 7.11 GB as 7 RARs - but just to confirm what others have said, this looks like a upscale made from the previous sources - no benefit vs the other sources. Might be worth noting this is not some HD source. The backgrounds lack grain and look too flat and fake. It is longer though than the previous version - but, yeah, not compared them to see what scenes are added.
