That IS one of the things that kept me away from private torrents, the absurdity of downloading junk that does not interest me at all in order to boost my ratio. I really need to preserve what bandwidth and drive space I have for rarer items that I CARE about. There are plenty of FLM movies that I download and share with no particular plan to actually watch them. Instead I am just helping out those who DO want them; but the truly offensive ones I will not touch at all! Here I will stand by my guns: if they do not have anything that I actually want, then I am not going to be their b**** seeder. That is the self-interest part of Enlightened Self Interest. Once they have something to offer me, THEN I may follow your advice!

The one that Gag pointed out is on FNP (fear no peer)? I'm not sure if anyone downloaded it. I am looking to see if I can find it on any public trackers for you.

The first time I saw this film, I was slightly younger than Dawn Dunlap in the film, which is probably why she fascinated me so much.
An English HD version exists with out-of-sync English subtitles and a French version exists (DVD) with English, Spanish, German, Hungarian and Italian subtitles ! Although the film was shot in English, I prefer the charm of the French version because the action of the film takes place in France and I am French ! Too bad for me, I can't remux the two. Due to the differences in FPS between the two versions, the film is not the same length. I suspect a 4K restoration for the blu ray version but it's a mystery, because no blu ray of this movie was released in France ! And if the publisher of the record (TF1) and the credits are French on the screen, why did they remove the French track

No Blu was released in FRANCE. Deadman's Blu was released in Japan, with English audio. I can understand Dave liking the French dub version just as I understand you liking German dubs of non-German films.

I was about Dawn's age when I first saw this film back in the early 90's, on late night cable. Cinemax I think. After midnight on a weekend, when my parents had gone to bed. There's a reason people used to call it Skinemax - basically from midnight to 5 AM every Friday and Saturday it was a soft core binge watch. I remember being absolutely bowled over by Dawn's beauty. Now that's the girl next door you want living next door to you!

I don't know why TF1 decided to drop the French soundtrack instead of making it a second audio selection. It was good enough to fool me when I watched it. I thought the movie was actually native French. You have to pay careful attention to lip movements to see that it's not. When I watched it on TV all those years ago it was English, but I figured that was probably the dubbed version.
I guess the question is, why does a French company release a bluray in Japan but not at home? If it were any other country I might say because Japan has more of a cultural tolerance for lolita themed material. This is France though. I confess to being at a loss.
