The buzzheavier link worked for me, once I convinced it I was human. This is the same AVI that starfish shared. I think in the process of ripping it from yoko's ISO, starfish did some deinterlacing.

After I watched this I realized that I was indeed watching it AGAIN. Relic's description of the plot in the other thread was dead accurate, so I don't know why I did not remember it at all. https://www.first-loves.com/forums/view ... hp?t=15693

I would have never figured out the TITLE like mimzy and later kev did, but I ought to have remembered it in general. I especially recalled the scenes of Kurt dutifully brushing her teeth at the lake.

Random comments:

I had assumed that the music used throughout the movie was either writtten for it or public domain, so I was surprised to hear a snippet of "Gypsy Eyes" by Jimi Hendrix at 34:10. Still, I really like the song "Mor og Far, Farvel" / "Mom and Dad, Goodbye".

I was really exasperated with Kurt's father for wearing his suit coat and tie on on his weekend day off from work. So uptight and formal! Put on a T-shirt! At least Mom was wearing a light summer dress. I am glad that at the end he was finally able to unwind a little and get that damn tie off.

It was very nice of her fairy godmother to build up Kurt's boat into a houseboat, but the magic of getting all that lumber from her own little boat astonished me. For some reason I obsessed over the shower head on the dock. Was the water pumped up directly from the lake underneath, or downhill from a well or the house? If the former, did the fairy godmother give her a little gas-powered motor for the pump, or run an electric line for it down to the dock? If the latter did she run some water pipes down the hill? I am no expert on plumbing other than I know that water forces itself anywhere it wants to go. Is there some purely mechanical, non-powered device that would get the lake water to go straight UP to the shower head? If so and it does not take too much work, I am going to follow Kurt's example and go live on a boat at a dock in Denmark. I think Kurt proved that even being naked all day and night by a lake in summer, Danes don't have to worry about mosquitoes.

Yes, this avi is just a rip from the DVD. There's no difference in quality.

I'm in a bit of a dilemma: I watched it yesterday on my big TV screen. It looks good, but I noticed that the colors in part 2 and 3 are a bit pale. Normally I would do it again with some more color saturation. But I released it already and probably many people have downloaded it. Night457 even uploaded it to Mega. :|

I'd say, if you would normally plan on it anyways, and you are incline to want to adjust it, then please go ahead. If not, it is still a considerable improvement already. If you were to fix it, I would download it as readily as if it were an upgraded set of subs. I can take responsibility of uploading to mega as well. :)

Yeah, maybe I'll do it later. First I'll have to finish my English subtitles for Over/Under. ;)

This has taught me again: Never release something before watching it. :x

I look forward to the new subs. AND you made me say "underwear"!

Yeah, I think we've all been there, fixing something we already released. I do it at work too...

Oh pillowbaker, you comic you, I know a much dirtier joke on Over and Under ...

Ghost, I agree with pillowbaker. The only time I object to a new version from you is when you make it WITHOUT telling us! Then I try to reshare a file to help people out on eMule and your ed2k link has been sneakily upgraded with a new file having the same name. But yeah, watching it first might help. MEGA is free, so it did not cost me anything except the time waiting for WinRAR to split the file. I accept pillowbaker's volunteering to upload version 2!

You can also wait out the year to see if DR comes through with the other two 1080p parts.
