I "recorded" the screen with HS Loader (Chrome add-on). This utility is quite good but sometimes the stream breaks into multiple chunks which is annoying...

No. I would simply try it again and for the second time, it succeeds in most of the cases. Yes, the recording takes the same time as the movie itself but the advantage is that you can switch the tab (or minimalise the browser) and do some other work - however, you shouldn't use the bandwidth too much since the micro-losses of the connection are the reason for the breakage.
