[REL] Pinocchio's Revenge (1996)
Re: [REL] Pinocchio's Revenge (1996)
The rutracker torrent is likely better (did not compare) and it also downloaded quickly.

I have no desire to see this, but I love that screenshot. The whole movie should be that.
Especially the girl on the left.

I'm glad to see that clarification with the screens, Night. I should have guessed. I am seeding the rutracker "amzn" webrip also, if anyone is interested in grabbing it. it currently has a good amount of seeders.

Thanks for the torrent, pillowbaker. Can someone reshare the DVD remux?
I never grabbed beatpat's DVD remux, but I did find a full DVD on CG. Like all the DVDrips I've seen so far, it is only the full screen version, but the quality is good, from what I can tell from the screenshots. Would you like me to download it and share it here?

Wow..
What a blast from the past.
I saw this when it first came out on VHS, then years later I got the DVD.
I really liked this movie. In Rich's OP there was a perfect description of it:
(As well as couple actual surprises.. [At least for me].)
Despite the over-the-top hamminess at times the lead actress, Brittany Alyse Smith, carried the movie pretty well. Well enough that I shelled out the $$ for both the VHS and the DVD.
Worth a watch; definitely not a complete waste of an hour and a half.
kev.

I really liked this movie. In Rich's OP there was a perfect description of it:
The acting is tepid, at best, but it has a heart and it kept my attention for the full hour and a half running time. Plus the girls are all pretty cute to look at and as stated there's a couple nice 'visuals'...In the mood for a silly horror flick? Look no further! When a public defender takes a case involving a man who murdered his son, she brings home the Pinocchio puppet the boy was buried with and soon finds it accidentally given to her daughter (Brittany Alyse Smith), eight or so years of age, as a birthday present.
The girl believes the doll talks and is a living being, but the adults around her are just making note of her descent into disturbing behaviors. Is our little heroine a demented quack, or might Pinocchio be possessed by an evil spirit? Think of Child's Play with a female lead and you'll get the idea.

Re: [REL] Pinocchio's Revenge (1996)
Glad to see a positive response to a proper silly, hammy movie!
I got the full DVD5 from CG, made an ISO and uploaded to mega. Here's the link:
[Code] kev, if your DVD is the widescreen version, and if it is easily accessible, you may have a more desirable copy of this one that someone may want.
I am still seeding the AMZN webrip from rutracker here:

According to my torrent client, there are now 20 seeders, possibly some of the new ones are some FLM lurkers.

Actually, in some cases a fullscreen edition may be more desirable because it is now rarer. Whether it is open matte or just has more information top-to-bottom takes a comparison across more than one scene. When there is a 1080p version, widescreen editions are generally more available because of widescreen TVs.
What I find terrible is when a 20th century TV show is shot and broadcast in full screen, and it gets released in widescreen with heads chopped off. At the very least, MOVIES that are cropped for the theater were composed for widescreen by the cinematographer because that is how the director planned it. More vertical height can be interesting for sure, but the widescreen does not necessarily destroy the aesthetic value of the image.
But you never know what DVD might interest someone, as they can have exclusive bonus features or alternate soundtracks.
Thanks for the CG!

Re: [REL] Pinocchio's Revenge (1996)
Looking at all the DVDrips I've come across for this movie so far, I wonder if a widescreen DVD was ever released. I completely agree about cropping full screen cropping to make an artificial widescreen dummy version. When it's pointed out to you, you can't stop noticing. Besides the chopped off body parts, the zoom in to the actors also feels jarring to me.
Anyways, I am assuming if a widescreen DVD of Pinocchio's Revenge exists, there's a good chance it wouldn't be cropped. The DVD5 I found nothing nothing extra besides trailers and Spanish audio.
I love alternate soundtracks bonus features! Or at least, I believe I WOULD, as I've come across them very rarely. The only one I can think of at the moment is Legend (to which I found, on uloz, a fan-cut amalgamation of the various versions that included all material cut from all major releases of the film.

Thanks for the fullscreen DVD, pillowbaker!
Re: [REL] Pinocchio's Revenge (1996)
I just meant original audio + dub or commentary, so that Spanish dub is what I had in mind. I did not even think of a movie which has alternate music! That would include "The Neverending Story", to pick an FLM movie. I don't think we got multiple audio choices for that one on the same disc until the German 4kUHD.
