[REL] Carnalità (1974)

Post by Triela »   42 likes

"Carnalità (1974)", a movie with a title from the same school which gave us "Maladolescenza (1977)", is either the second or the first (N)OT role of Viviani, depending on when the shoot was. IMDb doesn't say, so if anyone has a dependable Italian source ... would be appreciated.

Looking at release dates, it's her second (N)OT-role, but it's more than likely that principal photography took place EVEN before Yuppi Du starting shooting, so there's that. And perhaps it's irrelevant, because of that whole thing about 'portrayed age of the character' and that ol' chestnut. (Yes, 'perhaps' is used here ....irónically... ;) ;) ;) )

Interestingly (or not) Sonia is also in Un'ombra nell'ombra (1979), a vehicle for Lara Wendel, who had her [EDIT: fóúrth] maybe 3rd (N)OT-role in it. Those were the days.....

An unethical businessman has a series of mistresses while his ill wife remains bed-ridden. He marries his favored one after his wife dies but things don't work out quite as he plans.
What was her age in this movie? I can't see anyone looking younger than 18 in this movie.

That plot synopsis does not inspire me with much confidence for FLM topicality, but Sonia Viviana born in 1958 would have been no older than 16 and quite possibly younger. I don't know how much screen time her character "Angela" has.

A review of another film says that she looked older than her character's and her actual age.

On a totally off-topic note, I would have seen Sonia in Umberto Lenzi's fantastic zombie-esque horror film "Nightmare City" (1980), although I am not sure who her character "Cindy" was.

Much appreciated, bloodhound. I need to practice my Spanish listening skills. For one second Mega gave me a "HTML 5 not able to .... something something" error, but it's still DLing now. (ah... it finished, even. Then again, I type slooooooooooow .....       ) Mega might be the new Uloz.to ???

Mister skin doesn't list her as pulling an 'Eve' there, but then again, since they've gone Holier-than-thou SFW, they are not so reliable on their core business of saying when an actress is... or isn't ...
Oh well....

For future reference: when I write 'fd' it means "filming date" and 'rel' refers to 'release date'.
So, to spell it out (no doubt this is superfluous to all you all, but still...)
Yuppi du {Sonia Viviani 16 6 22 fd} (1975) means she's 16 years, 6 months and 22 days old ON AVERAGE during principled photos
Carnalità {Sonia Viviani 16 10 21 rel} (1974) this means she 16 years, 10 months and 21 days old by release date.
her other (N)OT roles are:
Tesekkür Ederim Büyükanne {Sonia Viviani 17 5 27 rel} (1975)
L'adolescente {Sonia Viviani 17 6 11 fd} (1976) which is hére

OK, now that the downloads have finished, back on the subject of this movie after my unwarranted diversion into the horror genre...

Of the three films with Sonia Viviani you brought here today, this is the one that LEAST convinces me even though here she is at her youngest! I have a hard time trying to pick her out among the succession of bimbos in this adult erotic thriller. In "Yuppi du" I also have a hard time finding her, but I at least saw a few scenes with the preteen daughter Monica. In "L'adolescente" Sonia play an adolescent despite looking more mature than her age, so it still counts as on topic.

In this one there is a short beach scene with anonymous kids but nothing that indicates any significant screentime or contribution to the plot by children. A brief appearance by someone who happens to be 15 or 16 does not quite cut it. THIS is the one that I would call Off-Topic.

Thanks for the analysis. I think I can pass on all 3 given the 3000-5000 other films on here.
