Thank you that's nice, I also hope to stay for a long time. Speaking of new upgrades, I would very much like to complete the cycle of adolescence in Alberto Lattuada's films (with la Bambina and Guendalina). I'm missing 2 films but the actresses (or their roles) are 17 years old. I know it's too old here so I don't think I should create a topic for these movies.

The first film was Così come sei (1978) with the bewitching Nastassja Kinski who plays a woman over 20 years old (although she was 17 when the film was released ! So maybe she was 16 during the shoot ?! Sorry, I'm getting carried away 8-), It remains a mystery.). So, here I am looking for this film in HD (the blu ray exists) in original and French version and with French subtitles.

The second film was I dolci inganni (1960) with Catherine Spaak. I have only a French version with this link :

[File]

I would like to have it in HD (the blu ray also exists) in original and French version and with French subtitles. I have this link at my disposal :

Can someone help me to find them :( ?

Così come sei (1978) is posted here: https://www.first-loves.com/forums/view ... 35#p114135

Is I dolci inganni AKA Sweet Deceptions (1960) on topic or not? See discussion further down.

This is an Italian-French coproduction with an Italian director, French lead actors, Italian supporting actors, and an Italian setting, along with dubs in both Italian and French. I decided to post it in Italy as "mostly Italian" even though in my video I placed the French audio first because the leads are clearly speaking French and the French audio fits them better.
Francesca is a 17 yrs old girl who, one morning, wakes up after dreaming of making love with a family friend, Enrico, an architect 20 years older than her. After getting up, instead of going to school, she goes to see him, clearly showing him her feelings. After spending the rest of the morning with some friends, she decides to go to see Enrico in Marino, a small town in the hills around Rome, where Enrico is working on the restoration of an old villa. Francesca tells Enrico that she is in love with him... [MAJOR IMDB SPOILERS DELETED]
This has a 15-year-old Catherine Spaak playing a 17-year-old schoolgirl, and she was still 15 when it was released. Maybe her character is LYING in an attempt to be treated as older, because she is out to seduce an older man? Or the director/co-writer decided to make her character 17 because he did not want to be accused of being a creep by an easily scandalized public, but he REALLY meant the character to be the same age as the actress? I only saw the first 20 minutes so far. This is a girl who is clearly experiencing first love and wants something from it. I can not decide if it is on topic or not for FLM, so I will Release it and let anyone interested watch it and decide, and perhaps post their opinion if they want. I can always move it to Verified Off-Topic later.

Whoa thanks for this, Night. I can definitely see how this one approaches the blurred lines area. I'll have to leave it up to you guys on where the thread goes. But I know you've passed material in a similar vein.

This looks strange and curious. I thank you much for removing the spoilers!

... and I already read the ridiculously complete synopsis and made sure the subtitles were synced so I know how it ends, so I need to wait a while to forget before I watch. I only watched through the beginning to check it out and it just kept going until 20 minutes in ...

At FLM we grudgingly accept slightly older actresses playing younger characters but I am bewildered what to think of slightly younger teen actresses playing older characters because it is so rare for children in film.

Thank you very much, you make me a happy man but I'm torn, I love this film (like the 3 others by Alberto Lattuada with teenage girls : La Bambina, Guendalina and Così come sei) and so I would have liked to create this topic more than some others whose film I don't know. I didn't know that this feeling of having been dispossessed of a topic could happen 8-) . Too bad for me  .

I confirm that the French subtitles are correctly synchronized to the end.

It is the age of the actress that must take precedence in this specific case ;) .

:o

If you love this movie and you clearly have already seen it, then feel free to natter on about WHY you love it and why you recommend it to others. That sort of post is just as valuable as a video source, because it gets people interested in the film. All that *I* really said is that I was not sure if it was on topic because the girl was playing an older character. Well, you can take on the responsibility of PROMOTING this movie.

Good point, but I wonder about cases where a younger actress might play a woman in her twenties. I rejected another such film a few months ago for precisely that reason because the character was definitely NOT A CHILD in any sense. Here, she is in many ways still a child.

I know the quote certainly even though it is not used in everyday speech.

So, are you going to take up my invitation to talk more about the movie? No?
