[Apparently also "Zack Snyder’s Justice League: Justice Is Gray Edition" but like Fury Road I have not seen it. I have seen about 10 minutes of the Godzilla.]
Of course some people will like it! There is no reason everyone should agree on everything. But the majority? I doubt it. I don't follow film polls or read the blogs so I could easily be wrong, although I know that the opinions that are heard are simply the ones of those who are LOUDEST. To relate it to FLM films, there is a b&w version of
Logan (2017) and color that gradually fades to b&w version of
Chinjeolhan geumjassi AKA Lady Vengeance (2005).
I certainly have my "street cred" when it comes to b&w films being among my favorites, so I can't be accused of simply disliking b&w in general. But I CAN legitimately be accused of being hostile toward self-indulgent directors who spend time playing with digital tools to change a film and then claim "This is how I wanted it all along!" So many directors are spoiled children. They need to get some hair on their balls and insist on their artistic vision and stand by it from the outset, like Scorsese did in filming non-FLM "Raging Bull (1980)" in black-and-white. No 2 versions about it!
But I have not seen either version of "Po strnisti bos" yet, so I could change my mind. I am ALMOST open minded. I would like to see a (text) interview where the director explains his reasons, however.
