While it is apparent that the synopsis's you use are not always written by someone who speaks fluent English, most are understandable enough to give us an idea of what each particular series are about. THIS synopsis is a 'Hello Kitty'-esque nonsensical jumble of words. (Much like what I just said.. ) The first line is pretty much the only coherent sentence in the entire synopsis...

It has enticed me with words like 'event', 'kill', 'killer' and the phrase 'strange situation'; but I have no earthly idea how anything relates to each other. Is there a way to find a more accurate translation of the original text?

Like I said; my interest is piqued, but I'd like a clearer, more coherent idea of what it's about..

Sometimes IMDB synopses are confused, and those for TV melodramas even more so! Maybe the full nearly 30 hours of the series would clarify those few sentences.

I found the plot more detailed.

Damla took care of her daughter Zeynep, whom her older sister Alev gave birth to illegitimately and tried to kill. Damla devoted her whole life to Zeynep, lived as a refuge in her father Hasan's house, and could not establish a home of her own. Today, Damla is in danger of losing Zeynep, to whom she gave everything. Alev, who was released early for good behavior, appears before Damla with years of remorse and regret; His only goal is to get his daughter back! Damla raised Zeynep, enduring all kinds of difficulties for years, and gave birth to Alev and gave her life. While the two women struggle with motherhood, Zeynep's grandfather Çetin learns that his grandchild, whom he thought was unborn, is alive. She appears before Alev as a serious threat. Now this is the kind of detailed summary that I would expect for a soap opera. (Melodramatic and sentimental TV serial.) But this version is also confused because Alev is Damla's older sister in the first sentence. Later in the summary, Damla gave birth to Alev. She gave birth to her older sister? I just have to assume that this is probably machine-translated and that the machine translation does a poor job with subordinate clauses in sentence structure. What makes sense in the original is reordered in the English translation so it no longer makes sense. If anyone wants to fully understand it they just have to watch it!

At an average of around 2 hours and 20 minutes per episode... That's a LOT to ask for unless we're talking about a nation of couch potatoes... (Not trying to insult an entire country, but geeze: That's a helluva lotta sceentime..)

I mean, seriously; do they NOT run commercial breaks during their regular TV series' episodes? If they do, that would jack each episode to at least a 3 hour runtime.. (Again; [repeat parenthesized comment above with a little more emphasis..] )

Anyway, thanks for the expanded synopsis, Caleyunior. It had some clarification before it muddied the waters, again..

I guess Night's advice is the best method of figuring this series [or any of them, for that matter] out.

Long-suffering woman and the sacrifices she makes for a young girl. Period. That is all that really matters, and the rest is just an excuse for filming. If their relationship does not work then the drama does not matter. As for nations of couch potatoes, I can think of at least TWO English-speaking nations that descibes -- and I am in one of them.

I did not consider whether or not there were commercials, but I find the runtime for a single episode long even for movies I watch now, too! Look at it this way: other countries have 50x as many stations and programming choices, but only 1% of it is worth watching anyway. I remember when TV had only 4 stations and the content was 10x better at least!
