Jdownloader2 slooooooooooow...

Post by Night457 »   0 likes

Has anyone else noticed Jdownloader2 being VERY slow lately for fichier and MEGA download links? Or is it just me? I made sure to have it Updated, but it is running at mere kbps and promises a 3.6Gb file will complete in 8 days! I have switched Servers on my VPN multiple times and I get the same thing. Yet I download the same files in my browser, and the speeds are in Mbps and the downloads finish in less than 10 minutes. Has JD2 gone to crap?

I usually avoid fichier because of the long wait time between downloads. However, I did have one slow down earlier. I didn't think to try my browser. I will next time.

Normally I can just change IP / VPN Server to eliminate the fichier between-file wait time, as well as get around the MEGA quota. I am used to the downloads themselves being fast, whether in JD2 or the browser! I just normally use JD2 because it can be resumed if interrupted. Otherwise I have to switch IPs and then start all over again.

Anyway, my hope was that IF others had the same problem with JD2, that my experience would encourage them to try the browser instead. Thanks for the feedback, I get paranoid when it seems I am the only one being attacked.

No. No speed problems with JD 2 at all. You sure you get higher speeds when downloading directly with your browser? I think JD 2 can't be the reason.

I can't reproduce your issue, because I use a debrid account and always have full speed with 1fichier and Mega.

That is a preposterous question. :P I have problems with both my eyesight and my memory but I am AWARE of it, which is why I slowly try different things multiple times to confirm what I observe. I do NOT have whatever the problem is that would cause confusion between a mere 10 minutes and a potential "8 days" forcibly stopped after several hours. I am mental, but not THAT mental!

Ah well, obviously a paid service will be different than a direct-download with free software no matter what. This is just a good example why you use the debrid in the first case!

But if you are using mule simultaneously then it can be that will use most of your speed and then simply nothing left for JD...

Not really, based on my previous experience with JD2. It would max itself out along with whatever I was eMuling and I would have reasonable speeds for both. I have now also found that pixeldrain links are painfully slow in JD2 but just fine and dandy in the browser. I do not dare interrupt what I have downloading currently in the browser, but when it is done my NEXT STEP is to try downloading in JD2 without using my VPN. It is just possible that my VPN is interfering with JD2 downloads, because it seems to interfere with many other things as well. If stopping the VPN does not improve JD2 then it appears it is useless for me now. I'll see. If it does work, then I should think seriously about trying that other VPN that ghost recently posted about. I have it bookmarked...

I have confirmed that my VPN is a MAJOR part of my problem, at least for fichier links. I shut off the VPN and the links will then download in JD2 in about an hour, which is much better than taking DAYS. However, in the browser they still take only about 10 minutes. I just have to change my IP between each download when I have multiple to do. When I come across MEGA links I want to get I will see if having the VPN shut off helps for those too.

I wonder why the VPN would create slow speeds through JD2 but not through the browser. Odd.

I thank you for reporting on these issues. Even though JD2 is working well for me, I like to know about potential issues. Most of the time it seems they are only happening to me!

Agreed! If it interfered with EVERYTHING, that would be more understandable to me.

I am just going to start requesting eMule links for the direct-downloads that take me too much time or will not allow me to use a resumable downloader. Emule rules!!!

That is what *I* am always thinking!! I post with my issues, and people usually respond "Well I am not having any problems, what's wrong with you?"
