EEEEEEK!!!!! Bees freak me out! Is she a trained beekeeper, or did they use CGI? (The photo that is, not the movie poster.)

Looks pretty cool, thanks ghost. I chose to stop the trailer halfway through. It looks like one of those trailers that takes you through much of the main plot of the movie.

The movie isn't about bees at all. It's just a small scene, so it's a bit irritating. You'd miss a good movie.

You can watch precisely one half of the trailer now and get the bee scene out of the way beforehand, if you like.

The remake of "The Wicker Man" isn't about bees either, but I certainly don't want to see THAT scene with Nic Cage, ha! "My Girl" is pretty brutal. The poster for "The King Tide" is revolting, and if it is not actually about bees then it is disingenuous. No wonder you find it irritating! From what you say, I will download it and then see if I can manage to forget about the poster. If it just has a short scene with the girl admiring her little buzzy friends then that is all right. I managed to watch "The Secret Life of Bees" with Dakota Fanning and I did not find the bees in that one scary at all. Yet I watched them from a distance...

I have been stung by enough varieties of stinging insects often enough to have earned it! Mind you, honeybees are mild and not agressive. I just would not want them crawling on me. Wasps and yellowjackets and HORNETS are the actual nasty ones.

To be honest: I hate these little monsters too. Last summer I had a hornet in my living room. It really gave the the creeps.

One is bad enough, but I know multiple people who have inadvertently broken into a whole nest of hornets and ended up in the hospital. A swarm of hornets will attack and attack and never stop. Mostly indoors I just get a few wasps, which are at least SLOW and stupid although their sting does hurt. Outdoors I have had to flee from multiple yellow jackets stinging me when I accidentally opened up THEIR nest in the ground! One of the dangers of disturbing things in the woods... I was sore and itchy and swollen but at least it did not trigger an allergy that stops a person from breathing!

I confess that a few weeks ago I walked through a yard of clover, and apologized to the honeybees on the flowers when I realized I was kicking at them without noticing. Individual honeybees are really no problem and inoffensive.
