So, can a human person propose English subtitles for this film ?Night457 wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2024 5:58 pm Most members here strictly maintain their privacy and do not reveal their nationality. If they want to do so, that is fine also.

Sure. People are just more likely to donate their free time for translations (human or computer) if they LIKE the film and therefore have motivation to promote it, that's all I really meant. If I am interested enough in a movie I will watch it without subtitles. If I like it even then and want to understand it better, then I look even harder for subtitles. If that ever happens again for some movie, I might be motivated to make a FOURTH attempt at tackling AI translation. So far I have failed. Maybe some day I will get it right.

Wow, thanks!
I've tried translating the Slovenian subs using Google Translate (cringe!), DeepL is better but I can't find a way to translate entire .srt files without giving them my credit card for a "free trial". Screw that. I'll have to look for a better site than the ones I've found so far. Suggestions anyone?
You've posted some great 1080p upgrades bloodhound1st. I don't suppose you'd have either Nie bede cie kochac (1974) or a full sized version of Meztelen vagy (1972)? I'm guessing not, but it never hurts to ask.

Thank you indeed it's a good start ! Can someone post the Slovenian subtitles ? I think I can do a quick translation into English and French...

It is amazing how you sniff things out, bloodhound! A 1080p upgrade WITH subtitles!!!!!
I don't mind using "cringe" Google Translate in SubtitleEdit at all, but I am also perfectly willing to wait for someone else to make something better. Deadman, I think some persons have mentioned at FLM using DeepL for free on a whole file, but I am not sure how it was done without finding the relevant post(s).
External Slovenian SDH subtitles: "Cringe Google Translate" English subtitles while we wait for better:

Yes you were right to ask for subtitles again! Lots of people have lots of different resources. I DID look for alternate sources and subtitles after both times you posted, but I did not find that 1080p file with subtitles for certain. It is much easier to translate from an existing subtitle than to translate from just listening to the audio. Plenty of people do not have the ability or interest in translating subtitles, but they can FIND them!

I don't use DeepL for translating subtitles anymore. ChatGPT does a 10 times better job.
There is this site: https://www.syedgakbar.com/projects/dst (it is not for free, but very cheap).
You can also simply use the Open AI chat, copy the lines and use the chat bot for translation.
